Aaron McLeish

Director

Aaron is a seasoned general accountant with vast experience. After training and qualifying at top 10 accountancy firm; Moore Stephens, he went on to manage a wide portfolio of corporate clients at prestigious Chartered Accountancy firms across the South East of England. After learning the ins and outs of accounting practice Aaron became an internal Finance Director, running the accounts department for the largest independent family run plumbing, heating, and renewable energy firm in the South East of England.
Fast forward and Aaron is the Managing Director of Together We Count Limited, an accountancy firm with offices in Sheffield and Brighton (although through the wonders of modern technology TWC serves the whole country as well as international clients). Since 2011 Together We Count has been providing accountancy services to businesses with a little something extra. Aaron believes in educating others to be successful because after all, your success will taste better if you are responsible for it. Along with the services you would expect from a traditional accountancy firm, Aaron will advise you on how to gain or maintain success, offers tailored business advice, blogging regularly about current matters, and coming up with forward-thinking business strategies to drive your business forward.
Together We Count has gone from strength to strength, beginning in Brighton and expanding to Sheffield in 2019. Aaron explains tax and accounting matters in a simple, understandable manner that leaves you empowered. No jargon, no complicated explanations, just straightforward, no bullshit, innovative advice for real people like you.
Aaron is an expert in the construction industry, in particular the plumbing, heating and renewables sector. His first-hand knowledge and experience of the struggles these businesses face and what makes one business stand out from the rest is spotted and then advised upon. He is able to offer expert advice from an accounting perspective to businesses large and small in the plumbing, heating and renewables sector. To complement Aaron’s knowledge in the construction industry he is supported by a valuable team of key individuals as well as suppliers inside the trade.
Aaron is a family man and if he isn’t working, you will find him at home, in the pub or in his boxing gloves, mentoring youngsters at his local Sport’s club.

Inam Satti

Senior Accountant

Inam is a BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance graduate from Oxford Brookes University. And also, he is working towards his final ACCA exams.
Inam is an established member of our team and manages a wide client portfolio, he acts for a range of owner-managed businesses, including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. He provides services and advice ranging from routine matters such as annual accounts and tax returns to incorporation, business development and acquisitions.
In his spare time, Inam enjoys to spending time with his family and friends, hiking and travelling.

Penny Brown

Senior Client Manager

From Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, Penny is a client manager at Together We Count and is responsible for a portfolio of clients. After leaving university, and a short stint as a physics teacher, she went to work in audit at a major supermarket.
Penny continued her career in finance and worked as a management accountant in manufacturing where she spent many years. After deciding to change direction slightly, Penny switched to working in practice before joining TWC.
Penny enjoys the variety of clients in her portfolio and is always keen to hear about their business and cater to their accounting needs. She is also Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) champion in our team.
When she’s not at work, Penny enjoys hiking, reading, painting, crafting and admits to being a bit of an Xbox nerd!

Emma Armitage

Client Manager

Emma is a Client Manager Together We Count. Originally from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, Emma has been working in financial roles since leaving school.
After starting as an accounts assistant in 2011, she decided to pursue her passion for bookkeeping and passed her ICB level 3 in 2015. Since then, Emma has been working in various bookkeeping roles and has become an expert in her field.
As a Client Manager at TWC, Emma is responsible for handling the bookkeeping needs of a range of clients, including CIS submissions and VAT returns. She is dedicated to providing excellent service to her clients and ensuring that their financial needs are met with precision and efficiency.
When she’s not at work, Emma loves spending time with her three children. She also enjoys taking her two dogs for long walks and getting lost in a good book. With her strong work ethic and passion for bookkeeping, Emma is an invaluable member of the TWC team.

Muhammad Usman Yousaf

Senior Accountant

Meet Usman, a key figure at Together We Count (TWC) with a rich background in accountancy and taxation. As a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant (FCCA) and a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT), Usman brings over nine years of experience to our team. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University and has a track record of managing a large client portfolio at a leading UK-based firm, specialising in financial statements, tax returns, and VAT returns.
At TWC, Usman plays a crucial role in preparing accounts for limited companies, handling self-assessment for sole traders, and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations. His expertise in reviewing VAT returns and managing PAYE and Self-assessment registrations is invaluable to our operations.
Outside of work, Usman enjoys cricket, hiking, and travelling, showcasing his belief in a balanced lifestyle. His professional excellence combined with his personal passions makes Usman an indispensable part of the TWC family.

Junaid Iqbal

Accountant

Junaid is a vital part of the Together We Count (TWC) team, currently advancing towards his final ACCA exams and pursuing a BSc (Hons) in Accounting and Finance at Oxford Brookes University.
Junaid is an Accountant with over 6 years of experience working with a versatile portfolio of clients.
At TWC, Junaid plays a crucial role in the accounts team, focusing on the preparation of annual accounts and tax returns for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders. His expertise and dedication are instrumental in delivering top-notch service to our clients.
Outside of work, Junaid enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, hiking, and occasionally indulging in sketching and reading. His passion for exploring and learning complements his professional achievements, making him an invaluable asset to the TWC family.

Jessica Davison

Bookkeeper

From the picturesque town of Leyburn in North Yorkshire, Jessica’s journey in the world of accountancy began in the construction sector, where she honed her skills in an accounts role. This direct industry experience, coupled with her Level 3 AAT qualification, has equipped Jessica with a solid foundation in finance and accountancy.
At TWC, Jessica is dedicated to managing the books for a diverse portfolio of clients.
When she’s not immersed in numbers, Jessica enjoys exploring the great outdoors. Hiking with her dog is one of her favourite pastimes.
Jessica’s combination of professional expertise and personal interests makes her a valued member of the Together We Count team.

Said Rahim

Accounts Assistant

Meet Said, a driven Accounts Assistant at Together We Count (TWC). Said is currently working towards his final ACCA Exams and pursuing a BS Hons in Accounting at Oxford Brookes University. With over six years of experience, including a significant stint in Dubai and four years at a UK accountancy firm, Said has developed a robust skill set in preparing year-end accounts, self-assessment tax returns, and bookkeeping.
Since joining TWC in July 2023, Said has taken on key responsibilities, including VAT returns, bookkeeping, CIS returns, management accounts, and personal tax returns. His expertise and dedication significantly enhance our team’s capabilities and client service.
Outside work, Said is passionate about cricket, enjoys watching movies, and follows football and cricket avidly. His enthusiasm for sports complements his professional diligence, making him a well-rounded and valued member of the TWC family.

Qasim Khushnood

Accountant

Qasim possesses seven years of experience in the accounting sector, with a notable two-year period as a Senior Audit Associate. He has an Honours degree in Accounting and Finance and is nearing the completion of his ACCA qualification.
Currently serving as an Accountant at TWC, Qasim is tasked with the critical responsibilities of preparing financial statements and handling company secretarial duties.
Outside of his professional life, Qasim values the time spent with his family and enjoys travelling to new destinations for relaxation and adventure. His professional expertise, coupled with his personal passions, highlight him as a balanced and dedicated individual.

Sarah Stacey

Personal Assistant

As Aaron’s personal assistant at Together We Count, Sarah plays a vital part in the company.
You may receive emails or calls from Sarah, and she will always be on hand to pass on your accountancy queries to Aaron.
Sarah loves discovering new ways to make the business run more efficiently and enjoys making the client journey a smooth one.
When she isn’t at work, Sarah will be walking her French bulldog Bella, reading a book or enjoying her family life.

James Miller

Payroll Manager

James started his career in practice for a six-partner firm before moving to a top 20 firm. Specialising in the Anglo Israeli and Tech Sector.
After being headhunted by one of his clients, he moved into Industry working for a variety of firms up to a Nasdaq quoted company holding positions of Financial Controller and Finance Director.
With the responsibility for the finance function but also building these businesses. James has developed and delivered business growth by developing markets and using technology to deliver stepped change to these businesses.
During this time payroll and HR have always been a key part of his roles, bringing the function in house after being dissatisfied with the service of others providing payroll services, has given him a unique insight into both sides of the fence.
Before joining Together We Count, James has worked for an Accountancy network supporting accountants in the development of their businesses and addressing the issues they come across every day, allowing him to understand the real issues that affect practices.
Payroll and its direct impact on clients and employees have become a rewarding part of his career where he can see the difference, he makes every day.
James is a member of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and holds a number of payroll qualifications including the Foundation in Payroll Management Degree. Whilst also possessing a working knowledge of accountancy practices and the accounts function.
